Temporary Protection Visa Support - Legal Advice

We recognise that recent policy changes may have caused confusion and concern for TPV holders. Although we cannot provide legal advice regarding visa types, we strongly recommend seeking assistance from reputable organisations such as the Refugee Advice and Casework Service (RACS) or the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC). These organisations specialise in providing legal advice and support to individuals seeking protection in Australia. For more information, please visit

Western Sydney MRC Core Services

At Western Sydney MRC, our core services are centred around assisting refugee and migrant communities, especially those who have been in Australia for less than five years since their initial arrival.

Assistance is not always guaranteed, but we will always refer you to a relevant service if we aren’t able to assist you. Western Sydney MRC is not able to provide ongoing or long-term financial support but aim to provide immediate assistance to those in times of crisis.

Further Assistance

We understand the urgency of your situation, particularly regarding temporary protection visas, and encourage you to seek further assistance from organisations like Lifeline or Beyond Blue if you require immediate support. These helpline services provide confidential and professional help, ensuring that you have access to the support you need during difficult times. Remember, you don’t have to face these challenges alone—reach out to these organisations for guidance and care.

Lifeline

You are not alone. We're here to listen. We are a national charity providing all Australians experiencing emotional distress with access to 24 hour crisis support and suicide prevention services.

Beyond Blue

It can make a real difference having someone to talk to. To hear what you have to say. And to give you advice. Our free mental health services help connect you to that person.

Transcultural Mental Health Centre

The Transcultural Mental Health Centre (TMHC) works with health professionals and communities across New South Wales to support positive mental health for people from culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
