Settlement Support Manager

About the role:

The Settlement Support Manger will support and lead a diverse team of front-line staff within Refugee Resettlement and Employment programs. Key duties and responsibilities include:

  • Support and supervision of front-line staff
  • Manage Programs Logistics and implementation across multiple funded programs
  • Propose, develop and implement initiatives to ensure relevance in service delivery to clients, in alignment with best practice, sector developments and to enable delivery of cutting edge practices and service
  • Develop, review and refine programs, projects, documents, tools, policies and procedures for the Settlement Support Team, and at times, across the organisation.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with service delivery and funding body partners.

Essential selection criteria

  • Tertiary qualification in community services or other equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the community services sector
  • Sound understanding of working with culturally and linguistically diverse communities and refugees
  • Demonstrated capacity in leading, supervising, training and developing team members
  • Skill and experience in developing, implementing and coordinating programs and projects
  • Skill and experience managing multiple concurrent programs and contracts
  • Demonstrated report writing skills, and ability to adhere to multiple reporting requirements
  • Proven ability to critically analyse situations and recommend solutions, and respond to escalated client matters
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • High level stakeholder engagement skills and experience
  • Outstanding time management skills
  • Strong computer skills, with confidence in utilising CRM databases
  • Compliance Checklist
    • Have or able to obtain a current first aid certificate
    • Able to provide a clear Working with Children Check and Police Clearance (to be supplied before starting)
